This week we will be wearing the formal 3B uniform (not CWD) in preparation for final parade. Make sure that you remember to wear everything including your name badge, belt, brassard, rank slides, and hat.
Our 2022 End of Year Parade and Prizegiving will be held on Thursday, December 8.
We invite parents, family and friends to come and view the parade and prizegiving, and join us for refreshments afterwards.
The Parade Reviewing Officer is Squadron Leader Bruce Sinclair, Executive Officer of the NZCF.
Guests are asked to be seated by 6.30pm. Cadets are to bring a plate to share for supper.
You may have seen the new NZCF T-shirts advertised on Cadetnet. These T-shirts are being purchased by the Unit and will be issued as part of your uniform at the beginning of 2023.
You can now pay for Exercise Takahe via our online shop.
Only those accepted on Exercise Takahe 2023 should pay.
Those who received a trophy at final parade last year must return it to the Adjutant’s office this week. This is to ensure we can get the trophies engraved with this year’s recipients in time for final parade!
Those planning to attend Southern Area Air Skills remember to meet at Pioneer pool at 6pm to do the swim test.
Thanks to the fantastic team that have been working at Addington Raceway this week, we no longer require the Cadets to come in to collect rubbish on Friday evening.
Enjoy your long weekend!

Whilst our competitive team has been selected to attend this weekend competition, there are still a number of spots available for Cadets to come along and compete in composite teams, and help out with general competition activities. A great opportunity to meet other Air Cadets from around the South Island, and participate in some out of the ordinary activities. The competition runs 2-4 December, at Burnham Military Camp. If you are interested in attending, apply on CadetNet. This is an ATP activity, so it is under “ATP” and not “Unit Training”. This opportunity is available to all Cadets. Those who are successful will be informed by the 17th of November.
